3D Imaging, Scanning and surgical planning

Our 3D CT scan system gives our oral and maxillofacial practice state-of-the-art technology to help Dr. Turley diagnose potential issues more accurately and provide treatment with unprecedented confidence. Unlike a traditional spiral CT scanner, this 3D system utilizes cone beam CT technology and provides precise, crystal-clear digital images while minimizing your exposure to radiation. Our new 3D system enables us to perform a wider range of diagnoses and treatments in our office, helping to reduce multiple visits. The scanner allows us to choose the field of view, or scanning area, that best suits your specific treatment needs. We can use this information for a variety of treatment planning including implant planning, visualization of the sinuses, TMJ and the nerve.  This 3D cone beam system brings the latest 3D technology to North Coast Oral Surgery, providing unmatched visualization of anatomical detail which aids in treatment planning and helps us to better explain the particulars of your case, as well as address any questions you may have. Dr. Turley can use this innovative technology to quickly and easily share 3D images of the area of concern with your referring doctor – allowing the doctors to collaborate on your care, improving your experience, and delivering a positive and predictive treatment outcome.

Our 3shape intraoral scanner allows us, in combination with our CT scanner to plan more precisely where implants will be placed.  We are able to fabricate surgical guides with extreme precision that aid in difficult cases to give us predictable results, allowing us to place the implants exactly where we plan them to be.  In addition, we are able to use this scanner in specific cases to take a digital impression of the implant for the general dentist, which eliminates the need for a standard (goopy) impression.  This becomes more streamlined and time saving to both the patient and the general dentists in which we closely work with.
